Organized by: African Development Bank (AfDB)
Supported by: The University of Tokyo & University of Pretoria
Purpose:. Supported by the Ministry of Finance Japan, AfDB has taken the lead in developing the African-Asia (A-A) Platform, in alignment with TICAD 9’s call to “Co-create innovative solutions with Africa”. The Platform aims to establish an over-arching framework for promoting new private and public partnership initiatives linking Africa and Asia in support of skills development, youth entrepreneurship and innovation for Africa’s sustainable industrialization. Central to these efforts is inter-university collaboration for reciprocal knowledge transfer and joint nurturing of next generation of leaders, between Africa and Asia. The symposium, celebrating its roll-out, brings together experts involved in the newly-established A-A Platform to collaborate toward its shared objectives.
